The ultimate goal in my Private Practice is to help people achieve the best lives they can live each and every day!   When people begin to learn how to squash the OCD & Anxiety by using the tools and techniques I have taught them during our sessions they will often begin to feel "free" again.  Freedom from their thoughts, worries and/or compulsions is a wonderful and exciting experience!  It often times leaves a person feeling "New Hope" about getting better and to be able to live their life without OCD and Anxiety.  For many people who suffer from different types of Anxiety Disorders they feel like their brain and their thoughts are just torturing themselves.  But there is no need for anyone to continue to suffer, because on a positive and realistic note  and from what research had provided us along with how I see my patients get better...OCD and Anxiety can be beaten!  It is an amazing experience to see my patients learn how to be in control over their Anxiety and OCD.

My name is Eugenia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a sincere interest and extensive training from the National OCD Foundation to help people of all ages, although I have extended training in helping children and adolescents who are struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorders (GAD), Phobias, Social Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Depression. 

I specialize in individual and parent counceling/therapy for Anxiety Disorders, OCD, ADHD along with other types of Anxiety and Depressive Diorders.  I maintain a private practice in Middletown, CT.With over 17 years of experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Fordhum University I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients suffering from Anxiety Disorders with sometimes Depressive Disorders secondary to Initial Disganosis.I am a interactive, solution-focused therapist.  My approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Feeling anxious at times is a healthy and important part of being human. The feeling of fear can save us from danger or suspected trouble. But some of us get too anxious or feel anxious too often.  Through this website you will find important information about Anxiety. I believe the first step in helping a person with issues related to anxiety is to educate them about the different types of Anxiety Disorders and teach them the steps they need to learn to overcome their fears so they can live a happier and fulfilling life. Knowing that you have the tools needed in your tool chest to overcome future anxiety in itself eliminates much of the anxiety.

Working with and helping people overcome their anxiety is almost all I do in my Private Practice. I have been interested in learning about Anxiety Disorders and educating myself about the latest and most advanced treatments for Anxiety Disorders. I have spent over the past 15 years learning and keeping updated on the many different aspects to consider when working with a client suffering from anxiety issues and how to help them quickly and most effectively while making sure they feel confident that they have learned valuable techniques and acquired tools to help them in the future if their anxiety issues pop up again.
